The Flowering Viola

Jonah Sirota presents The Flowering Viola, a recital of chamber music with viola from the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th Centuries, a time when the viola came into its own as an instrument capable of expressing the complex palate of human experience in the modern world. The program features works by Rebecca Clarke, Gustave Holst, Bohuslav Martinu, Charles Loeffler, and Max Bruch.

Jonah Sirota, viola, and Molly Morkoski, piano, perform the Viola Sonata of Bohuslav Martinu at Concerts on the Slope, in Park Slope, Brooklyn, on May 28, 2017.
